Ryder announced it supplied a 20 vehicle fleet on contract hire to Evans Cycles to support its ongoing store openings. The new vehicles replace Evans Cycles’ previously owned 15 vehicle fleet.

Ryder spokesperson Robin White, Sales and Marketing director, said, “Evans Cycles now has a modern, efficient and stylish fleet that will not only enhance its brand presence and provide better budget controls, but will also help it meet its dynamic expansion goals during the next few years. In addition, the company is typical of the growing number of businesses, of all sizes, that are avoiding the maintenance, breakdown and legislative hassles of operating their own delivery vehicles by outsourcing their requirements to Ryder.”

Evans Cycles, a UK specialist bike retailer, has witnessed a dramatic increase in cycling during the past five years, driven by a rapidly growing interest in fitness and healthy lifestyles, and fueled by the success of Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome, Chris Hoy and the rest of the Olympic team.
