Ryder Recognized for Innovative Supply Chain Solutions

Ryder System has been named to Food Logistics 2019 FL100+ Top Software and Technology Providers, an annual list that serves as a resource guide of providers whose products and services are critical for companies in the global food and beverage supply chain. This is the seventh year that Ryder has appeared on the list.

“The global food supply chain is constantly evolving, and supply chain solutions must rise to the occasion,” said Darin Cooprider, Ryder vice president & general manager of Consumer Packaged Goods. “For 86 years, we have partnered with our customers to help them best serve their customers and we are constantly looking for ways to utilize new technologies to create value. This award is a testament to our commitment to ensuring safety, efficiency and reliability through innovative solutions and advancements in the digital supply chain.”

Ryder’s cloud- and mobile-based technologies support a fully optimized supply chain with greater speed-to-market performance for food and beverage industry customers, including nine of the top 10 Fortune 500 food and beverage companies.

The company’s innovative technology solutions include RyderShare, which is aimed at creating real-time visibility, collaboration, and exception handling to maximize efficiencies for customers. In addition, Ryder’s OpsBox is a warehouse analytics platform for labor management, providing shop floor visuals, daily metrics, workforce planning and customer visibility dashboards. The result is labor productivity improvements exceeding 10% into the double digits, as well as increased employee engagement and improved customer experience.

“The transparency and safety of the digital global food supply chain would not exist without innovations in software and technology,” said John R. Yuva, editor for Food Logistics and its sister publication Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Our FL100+ recipients help drive supply chain compliance and regulatory changes that benefit everyone from the farmer to the food processor to the consumer.”

Companies on this year’s 2019 FL100+ Top Software and Technology Providers list will be profiled in the November/December 2019 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at www.foodlogistics.com.
