Regions Bank has appointed Angela Santone as Chief People Officer, effective May 12, the company announced Tuesday.
Santone, an experienced human resources executive, will join the bank’s Executive Leadership Team. She will oversee all HR priorities in coordination with Chairman, President and CEO John Turner, and Chief Administrative Officer Dave Keenan.
Santone brings more than 20 years of HR leadership to the role. She most recently served as senior executive vice president of human resources at AT&T, where she reported directly to the CEO and led global HR strategy. She previously spent 18 years at Turner Broadcasting.
“Bringing Angela Santone to Regions will be a tremendous benefit to our teams and our customers,” Turner said in a statement. “Her experience, insights and strategies will help us build on our reputation as an employer of choice.”
Santone’s responsibilities will include enhancing corporate culture, supporting talent recruitment and development, and advancing HR operations to align with Regions’ broader business goals.
“Regions’ workforce is a clear competitive advantage,” Santone said. “It’s vitally important for us to develop new and effective ways of attracting top talent while helping current colleagues grow their careers.”
Regions has been recognized by Gallup for over a decade as an exceptional workplace. The bank operates across more than a dozen states, with 20,000 employees and a network of approximately 1,250 branches.
Santone holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Counseling and Human Development from Troy University.
