SCJ Commercial Financial Services Makes Leadership Transitions

SCJ Commercial Financial Services promoted Scott Ogden from executive vice president to president, effective immediately. Ogden has been a cornerstone of SCJ’s success since the company’s acquisition in 2019, and his leadership continues to propel SCJ to new heights.

With a legal background and extensive experience in the equipment lease and finance industry, Ogden has been instrumental in transforming SCJ from a third-party collections agency into a thriving first-party debt buyer. His deep understanding of contractual purchases, debt collections and the legal intricacies of the industry has positioned SCJ as a reputable and integrity-driven organization.

“Scott’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in our success,” Mike Hammon, outgoing president of SCJ Commercial Financial Services, said. “From his role as director of operations to his impactful tenure as executive vice president, Scott has continuously demonstrated his ability to lead, inspire and innovate. I am confident that under his guidance, SCJ will continue to thrive and set new benchmarks in the industry.”

During his time as executive vice president, Ogden played a pivotal role in expanding SCJ’s market reach, overseeing operations and portfolio purchases and fostering strong client relationships. His ability to integrate a human element into collections and prioritize integrity has reshaped the industry and elevated SCJ’s standing.

Hammon will be transitioning to a new role as president of American Finance, a subprime lender specializing in auto transactions, specifically bulk purchasing. In this capacity, Hammon will focus on driving growth and innovation within American Finance, while continuing to serve as an executive advisor for SCJ Commercial Financial Services.

“It has been an honor to lead SCJ Commercial Financial Services over the years,” Hammon said. “I look forward to this new chapter with American Finance and to remaining a part of SCJ’s continued success in my advisory role.”
