Leaseurope announced the release of its 14th consecutive Ranking of Top European Leasing Companies. Leaseurope said the purpose of the Ranking is to provide a yearly update on new leasing volumes and portfolios of the largest leasing firms in Europe. In summary, these companies reported new leasing volumes of more than €133 billion ($149 billion), with 26 companies reporting volumes of over €1 billion. The average contract size (for all asset types considered together) was €34,719 ($38,950).

The #1 volume producer shown in the rankings was Société Générale Leasing Solutions (included Ald Automotive) with €13,961.1 ($15,662.0 million).
DLL, ranked #4, reported 2014 volume of €10,036.5 ($11,259.3 million). Of interest, Bank of America Global Leasing, ranked #29, reported €909.5 million ($1,020.3 million)

Leaseurope said these companies are located in 24 different countries including both EU and non-EU Member States. The firms are members of the 46 Member Associations represented by Leaseurope which in turn represent over 1,300 leasing companies accounting for approximately 92% of the entire European leasing market in 2013.

This year, 80 companies participated in this exercise. Of these firms, 64 are parent or stand-alone companies (bank related, captive or independent leasing companies) and 16 are classified as subsidiaries.

The Ranking covers the parent and stand-alone companies only and these firms are ranked according to the value of their new contracts in 2014. The full figures are shown in the attached tables, on a consolidated basis.
