Summit Funding Hires Fitzsimmons GM, Construction & Material Handling



Summit Funding Group bolstered its material handling and construction industry services with the addition of Michael J. Fitzsimmons as general manager of its Construction and Material Handling division.

In his new role, industry veteran Fitzsimmons will oversee all operations and transactions in the firm’s Dallas office, according to Richard L. Ross, president and CEO of Summit Funding Group.

“Summit has worked in the material handling and construction industries since our inception, cultivating deep expertise and close relationships,” explains Ross. “As a proven leader with strong experience in sales, marketing, and asset management, Fitzsimmons understands the goals of our clients, making him well-positioned to continue our growth in this sector.”

Fitzsimmons joined Summit after more than 25 years in the equipment financing industry, most recently serving as the director of Commercial and Retail Finance in the Construction division of Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing. His experience also includes 20 years with GE Capital, where he held roles including vice president – marketing, vice president – Western region, and vice president – regional sales manager.
