The Sydney Morning Herald reported that a former leasing manager at Macquarie Bank, Michael Roth, has been charged with defrauding the company of $1.2 million.
The article said Roth allegedly was able to secure payments from the bank to himself by submitting fabricated leasing documents for items like cars and medical equipment and then placing his own personal bank account details on the forms.
