Syndifi Adds Canal as EVP of Sales and Marketing

Alistair Canal joined Syndifi, an online syndication software provider built specifically for the equipment finance industry, as executive vice president of sales and marketing.

In his role, Canal will represent Syndifi as the principal point of contact for clients. Canal has a wealth of knowledge and business development skills, including his relationships across multiple channels with financial partners, industry executives, advisors and entrepreneurs.

For nearly two decades prior to joining Syndifi, Canal earned leadership posts at multiple financial and compliance firms, including Bankers Healthcare Group, Promontory Financial Group and Live Oak Bank, where he launched the equipment finance division.

“As we continue to build momentum, we are thrilled that Al has joined us at Syndifi,” Dan Michalek, CEO and founder of Syndifi, said. “His hands-on knowledge, his work with multiple companies and his knowledge base make him an invaluable addition to our team. Al will help us to identify new opportunities where we will seek to deliver strong outcomes to our clients and our stakeholders.”

“I’m honored to join Dan and the Syndifi team on their mission to modernize the equipment finance industry,” Canal said. “Syndifi’s streamlined and secure platform is going to transform the way syndication is accomplished, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this evolution. I look forward to bringing my expertise, skills and passion to the emerging influence of Syndifi’s transformative technology.”
