NPR reported that Tesla revealed more details about its electric semi truck at an announcement event last Thursday.
Revealed by CEO Elon Musk, the semi will have a 500-mile range with a gross vehicle weight of 80,000 pounds, NPR said.
NPR said J.B. Hunt is one company that is already planning on buying some of the new trucks, which Musk said will be available two years after production begins in 2019.
