Top Five Logging Equipment Lenders Account for 72.2% of March Total



Statistical data for the logging equipment market provided by EDA showed the top 20 lenders in the segment, in the aggregate, filed financing statements covering a total of 324 logging equipment related filings during the month of March 2018.

The top five lenders, in filings, included:

  • John Deere Industrial Credit (92)
  • DLL (51)
  • Wells Fargo (includes Wells Fargo Vendor Financial Services, Wells Fargo Equipment Finance and Wells Fargo Bank) (26)
  • Caterpillar Financial Services (25)
  • Citizens Asset Finance (25)
  • Key Equipment Finance (15)

The top five accounted for 72.2% of the total, or 234 filings. The top lender, John Deere Industrial Credit, accounted for a 28.4% share of the total.

The top five logging equipment buyers (location/brands/filings) included:

  • Lewis Tree Services (New York/Morbark, Bandit, Vermeer/40)
  • Mario’s Tree Service (California/Vermeer/11)
  • Jaflo (Pennsylvania/Altex/4)
  • BKM Logging (Louisiana/Deere/3)
  • Wood Warrior Logging (Georgia/Tigercat/3)
