Top Five Logging Equipment Lenders Account for 72.5% of November Total



Statistical data for the logging equipment market provided by EDA showed the top 20 lenders in the segment, in the aggregate, filed financing statements covering a total of 302 logging equipment related filings during the month of November 2017.

The top five lenders, in units, included:

  • John Deere (86)
  • DLL (67)
  • Caterpillar Financial Services (28)
  • Wells Fargo Vendor Financial Services (23)
  • Stearns Bank (15)

The top five accounted for 72.5% of the total, or 219 units. The top lender, John Deere, accounted for a 28.5% share of the total.

The top five logging equipment buyers (location/brands/units) included:

  • A&A Trucking (Louisiana/Deere and CSI/Four)
  • Hauling Away (Alabama/Rotobec/Four)
  • Hamilton Timber (Alabama/Deere/Three)
  • McKenzie Tree Service (Tennessee/Vermeer/Three)
  • Harrison Logging (Mississippi/Deere and Tigercat/Three)
