Transport Topics: Economy, Trucking to Improve in 2014



Transport Topics reported that trucking and U.S. economic trends are showing slow but steady improvement that is likely to carry into 2014. Transport Topics noted that Mark Vitner, managing director and chief economist at Wells Fargo, predicts GDP to grow at a rate of 2.4% next year, two percentage points above what was projected for 2013.

However, the article quoted ATA’s chief economist Bob Costello saying “the market is very choppy.”
