Attorneys Julia Gavrilov and Robert S. Cohen of Moritt Hock & Hamroff (MH&H) were appointed to leadership committees of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association.
Gavrilov was appointed to the ELFA’s Service Providers Business Council Steering Committee, which represents organizations and firms providing a variety of services related to accounting, collections, law, consulting, software, equipment management, university/government operations, executive recruiting, insurance, nonprofits/associations, and publishers. She will serve a two-year term.
Cohen was appointed to the ELFA Women’s Council, which “was launched with the mission of accelerating the evolution of the ELFA into a more gender-balanced, inclusive association and positively impacting our overall industry at the same time,” according to founding Council Chair Lori Frasier. Cohen’s appointment was effective October 30, and his term will run for two years. This is his first time serving on the council.
Marc L. Hamroff, managing partner of MH&H, said, “We are delighted ELFA has recognized the leadership and insight that Julia and Bob can bring to their positions on these two committees. MH&H is proud to have them share their knowledge with the larger secured lending and equipment finance community through the ELFA.”
Both Gavrilov and Cohen are ELFA members and work within MH&H’s Secured Lending and Equipment Finance practice area. Gavrilov concentrates her practice in equipment leasing, secured lending, and all areas of complex commercial litigation. She specializes in the drafting and/or enforcement of equipment leases and secured loans on behalf of secured lenders, banks, and lessors.
Cohen has more than 20 years of experience in all facets of the equipment leasing and asset-based lending industries. His practice is devoted to commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, corporate transactions, bankruptcy and cybersecurity related matters, with particular experience in the documentation of financial transactions, electronic signatures, enforcement of equipment leases and secured loans, as well as the negotiation of workouts and resolutions.
