U.S. Census Bureau: New Orders for Durable Manufactured Goods Decrease 1.1% in November



New orders for manufactured durable goods in November, down three of the last four months, decreased $3 billion (1.1%) to $285.1 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This followed a 0.8% October increase. Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 0.1%. Excluding defense, new orders decreased 0.3%. Transportation equipment, also down three of the last four months, led the decrease, $2.9 billion or 2.9% to $95.5 billion.
