Wintrust Commercial Finance Hires Allen as Direct Originator for East Region

Wintrust Commercial Finance, a division of Wintrust Asset Finance, named William Allen a direct originator for the company’s east region.

Allen will report to Keith Tornichia, vice president of new business development and east region manager for Wintrust Commercial Finance. In his new role, Allen will be responsible for direct originations in Wintrust Commercial Finance’s direct lease and loan activities in the Southeast.

Based in South Carolina, Allen has spent more than 30 years in the equipment finance industry. Previously, he held senior sales roles covering the Southeast at U.S. Bank, Synovus, KeyBank and GE Capital.

“I look forward to working with a well-established yet entrepreneurial company that has proven its ability to provide creative solutions to growing commercial and industrial companies across the country,” Allen said. “With Wintrust’s seasoned leadership team, I am confident I will be able to provide the clients I have developed in the Southeast over the past 30 years with meaningful financing for their capital equipment.”

“Bill is a true veteran of the industry. His equipment finance experience and market knowledge, along with his tenured relationships, will bring a strong WCF presence to the Southeast United States,” Tornichia said. “More importantly, the cultural fit between WCF and Bill is a clear match. Clients should always come first, and both Bill and WCF pride themselves on that, as well as excellent execution for our customers.”
