WSJ: China's Construction Equipment Industry Struggles



The Wall Street Journal reported that despite signs of improvement from this year’s industry-wide sales slump, Chinese construction equipment makers have seen Q3 net profit declines.

The article said Chinese construction equipment industry leaders are looking for ways to consolidate inventory and equipment and boost sales, noting that overcapacity, high inventories, bad debts and an excess of secondhand machines due to rising repossessions are key issues the industry faces.
