The Wall Street Journal reported that the coronavirus could affect the way U.S. companies comply with CECL.
Since CECL requires companies to forecast future losses when a loan is issued based upon current economic indicators, the uncertainty of the coronavirus throws a complex twist into the process, according to the report.
