ATA: May Truck Tonnage Growth Rate Smallest Since Feb/13

American Trucking Associations said its Truck Tonnage Index increased 1.1% in May, following a revised loss of 1.4% during April. The ATA noted May’s increase was the smallest since February 2013. read more

ATA: Truck Tonnage Negatively Impacted by Bad Winter Weather

The ATA said truck tonnage decreased 4.3% in January, after edging 0.8% lower in December. ATA chief economist Bob Costello said, “Like most economic indicators, truck tonnage was negatively impacted by bad winter weather in January.” read more
