Republic Bank is beginning a phased relocation plan by moving associates from two east end offices in Louisville, KY, into the its Republic Plaza offices in downtown Louisville, KY. These moves are expected to be fully complete by mid-2024.

Phase one of the move began in early May and will end in mid-June with nearly 90 associates from Republic’s Hurstbourne, KY, and Springhurst, KY, offices moving to the Republic Plaza at 200 South 7th St. in Louisville, KY, only several hundred yards from the bank’s corporate headquarters. In phase two of the move, which will begin in 2024, additional associates from the Springhurst office will relocate downtown.

“Republic’s investment in Louisville’s downtown area began when we put down roots with our corporate banking center in 1987,” Logan Pichel, president and CEO of Republic Bank, said. “We’ve seen a lot of growth and change over three decades and we’re committed to creating more positive, lasting changes in the decades ahead. We believe this move will benefit our associates in many ways while reinforcing existing efforts to strengthen our downtown core.”

“Republic Bank’s commitment to our downtown community is a prime example of the positive engagement we need with our businesses to become a more vibrant city,” Craig Greenberg, mayor of Louisville, KY, said. “We hope other businesses will follow suit and view downtown as a smart option for their long-term growth plans.”
