The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced the additions of Péter Márton as director of European government affairs and Zanthe Jordine as airworthiness and regulatory specialist. The GAMA also promoted Cate Brancart to director of European safety and sustainability development.
“The additions of Péter and Zanthe to the GAMA team will enhance our ability to support our members and our industry’s priorities on both sides of the Atlantic. Péter’s political acumen of the processes and regulations in Europe will be a great asset as we continue to support the global growth of the general and business aviation civil sector,” Pete Bunce, president and CEO of GAMA, said. “Zanthe brings a fresh, exciting perspective to the team and we look forward to fully engaging her passion for aviation as she begins her professional career,” said
As director of European Government affairs, Márton will lead GAMA’s advocacy and public affairs activities in Europe, which are aimed at advancing interests and influencing policy before the European Commission, European Parliament, EU Member States, EU Agencies and the UK government. Prior to joining GAMA, Márton worked for several diplomatic missions to the EU, including representing the United States and New Zealand on policy matters, including environment, trade and economic policy.
As airworthiness and regulatory specialist, Jordine will provide assistance to GAMA’s engineering and maintenance team.
Brancart joined GAMA in 2018 to manage GAMA’s work to improve the conditions for general aviation in Europe, including the organization of better safety data, flight training and access to new technologies.
With the elevation of Brancart to director of European safety and sustainability development, she will expand her role to educate and highlight general aviation’s role as the incubator of sustainable aviation technologies. Brancart will also continue to broaden GAMA’s ongoing efforts to further safety improvements, workforce development and the development of diversity, equity and inclusion for general aviation in Europe.
“Cate has done a tremendous job with our workforce outreach to women and underrepresented populations while her safety engagement with the European Commission, EASA and EuroControl has been equally impressive,” Bunce said. “As an active pilot, her passion for growing a more diverse workforce is infectious and her organizational skills in conducting safety and aviation familiarization forums for regulators and government partners have been well attended and extremely productive.
