The National Equipment Finance Association’s education committee presented the first module of the NEFA Masterclass Series: Credit on July 19. The module was presented by Bob Rinaldi, CLFP, president of Rinaldi Advisory Services, and had nearly 200 registrants.
The first module of the series aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts of credit, establishing a foundation for the forthcoming modules that will delve into all aspects of the credit universe. Throughout the session, participants gained insights into various topics, including the big picture of credit, risk, the impact of a loss and the “conclusion of credit.” The recording of the webinar is available here.
Building upon the first module, the NEFA Masterclass Series: Credit will continue with module two on credit scoring. This in-person event will take place at both the NEFA’s upcoming dinner cruise on Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata, MN, on Aug. 10 and its networking event on Aug. 22 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA, where registrants will take in a matchup between the Los Angeles Angels and the Cincinnati Reds.
Module three of the series, titled “Implementing a Credit Policy & Credit Package,” will take place in-person at the 2023 NEFA Funding Symposium. This session will provide attendees with practical strategies to implement effective credit policies and develop comprehensive credit packages.
Concluding the series, module four, “Tax Returns & Financial Statements,” will be presented through a webinar in November, offering participants the opportunity to enhance their understanding of financial aspects relevant to credit evaluation.
