M&T Bank promoted Scott Weissmann, a longtime veteran of the equipment finance industry, to line of business manager for M&T Commercial Equipment Finance, part of the M&T Equipment Finance Group.
Weissmann has more than 24 years of experience in the equipment finance industry, nine of them with M&T’s Commercial Equipment Finance team. For the last six years, Weissmann has served as a group manager responsible for the direct originations’ sales force within the company. Prior to joining M&T, he worked in both equipment finance and relationship banking at various financial institutions.
“Since taking on the interim head role, Scott has been an integral part of shaping our go-forward strategy for M&T Commercial Equipment Finance, including some exciting growth and optimization initiatives that we will begin to realize in 2024 and beyond,” Jennifer Warren, head of institutional services and equipment finance for M&T Bank/Wilmington Trust, said. “We are delighted that he’ll continue to lead the team as line of business manager.”
