Air Lease Corporation (ALC) unveiled its Q4/24 activity report, highlighting significant aircraft investments, sales and financing achievements.
As of Dec. 31, 2024, the Los Angeles-based company managed a fleet of 489 owned aircraft and 60 managed aircraft. Looking ahead, ALC has 269 new aircraft on order with Airbus and Boeing, set for delivery through 2029, underscoring its commitment to fleet expansion and modernization.
Aircraft Investments
During the quarter, ALC delivered 18 new aircraft from its order book, reflecting a diverse range of models:
- Eight Airbus A220s
- Three Airbus A321neos
- Two Airbus A330-900neos
- Two Boeing 737-8s
- Three Boeing 787-10s
The company’s aircraft investments totaled approximately $1.3 billion for the quarter.
Aircraft Sales
ALC also capitalized on demand in the secondary market, selling 14 aircraft to third-party buyers. These transactions generated approximately $540 million in sales proceeds.
Financing Activities
In a significant financial move, the company secured a $966.5 million unsecured term loan facility, set to mature in December 2027. This facility enhances ALC’s financial flexibility as it continues to invest in its growing fleet.
