DLL and automotive leader Iveco Group have announced a joint venture aimed at expanding access to low- and zero-emission commercial vehicles across Europe.
Subject to regulatory approval, DLL will acquire a 51% stake in GATE, a subsidiary of Iveco Group, through a reserved capital increase. Iveco will retain the remaining 49% ownership. The new joint structure is intended to accelerate GATE’s growth by bolstering its financial backing and leasing capabilities.
Founded by Iveco Group, GATE provides tailored rental solutions for sustainable mobility, offering customers a digital platform and services through select partners. Active in Italy since 2023 and expanded to France and Germany in 2024, GATE now plans to extend its reach across more European markets and potentially offer rental solutions for brands beyond Iveco.
“One of DLL’s goals is to be a transition partner for a better world,” said Lara Yocarini, CEO of DLL. “We’re serious about helping customers decarbonize through smarter, more sustainable asset financing. Partnering with Iveco Group is a key part of that mission.”
Simone Olivati, president of financial services at Iveco Group, called the venture a “significant new chapter” for GATE. “We’ve found in DLL a partner who shares our innovation mindset and commitment to sustainable transport.”
