Bank of America has appointed Paul Keifer as president of its Grand Rapids market, succeeding Renee Tabben, who will continue in her role as Merrill market executive.
In his new role, Keifer will lead the bank’s regional efforts to expand market share, connect clients with the bank’s full range of services, and coordinate across its eight lines of business. He has been a key part of the local leadership team and currently serves as Business Strategy and Initiatives senior manager.
“Paul is well positioned to build on Renee’s success and continue to grow our presence in West Michigan,” said Brian Moynihan, Bank of America chairman and CEO.
In addition to his new role, Keifer oversees operations and strategic partnerships related to the company’s Community Homeownership Commitment, which includes grants, neighborhood revitalization, and small business lending programs.
Keifer joined the bank in 2010 and has held leadership positions in consumer banking, wealth management, digital banking, and mortgage lending. A native of Michigan, he is actively involved in the Grand Rapids community, serving on the boards of Habitat for Humanity of Kent County and the American Youth Soccer Organization. He was named to Crain’s Grand Rapids 40 Under 40 list in 2023.
