DLL is committed to partnering for a better world. This commitment is not only evident through various initiatives, such as providing each member with two paid volunteer time off days, but also through partnerships with organizations that share the company’s mission. In 2024 alone, 3,390 DLL members volunteered, utilizing more than 23,100 company-paid hours. These contributions included environmental cleanups, blood donations, building birdhouses with the elderly, preparing and packaging meals and more.
Partnerships Driving Positive Change
DLL’s contributions to the community don’t stop there, as the corporation is also proudly partnered with One Tree Planted and Solar Buddy, through which they address environmental and energy poverty challenges, donating over $350,000 to these two charitable causes in 2024 alone. During natural disasters in the areas in which DLL has an office location, DLL encourages members to donate funds, which are then matched by the company, effectively doubling their contributions. As a result of this initiative, over $65,000 was donated to support victims of natural disasters around the world in 2024. Through these community impact initiatives and more, DLL consistently strives for excellence, benefiting both its members and the surrounding community inside and outside of the office.
Measuring Success Through Social Impact KPIs
To measure the impact of these initiatives, DLL uses Social Impact Key Performance Indicators. In 2024, 58% of DLL’s worldwide member base participated in at least one community activity, , up from 47% in 2023. Moreover, the company has surpassed its financial donation target in 2024 by donating over $2 million to charitable causes around the world. DLL operates with its long-term goals in sight, aiming to enable a greener, more social and healthier future for the communities in which DLL operates. This is achieved by focusing its efforts on three themes: Environmental Stewardship, Health & Wellbeing, and Opportunity for All.
Global Reach: Advisors for a Better World
DLL’s impact reaches international levels through the company’s program Advisors for a Better World, which enables its employees to provide their expertise to banks and microfinance institutions in Latin America, Africa and Asia Pacific regions. Through this program, DLL employees assist these banks in keeping up with upcoming technologies, promoting digital operations, scaling up their customer base and improving their credit lines.
DLL’s international impact surpasses this further, as a DLL member noted in a Best Companies nomination: “From establishing an inclusive classroom in Argentina school for visually impaired kids to engaging our customers in Australia to create dignity kits for homeless people” and “assisting flood victims in Brazil, Poland and Spain in 2024 by being on the ground and working tirelessly throughout day and night to raising funds for these disasters by donating their own money, our employees are going above and beyond to assist the communities wherever they are based.”
Inspiring Industry Change
DLL goes above and beyond to ensure that their company impact reaches and surpasses not only industry standards but also the well-being of the surrounding community. “From our leadership team to the last mile employee, everyone welcomes and encourages working for communities,” a DLL member said in a nomination.
