Segen, a global distributor of renewable energy equipment, has announced a strategic partnership with BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions to launch Segen Finance, a new solar and energy storage financing program for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.
The initiative aims to accelerate clean energy adoption by removing upfront cost barriers. Under the Segen Finance brand, C&I customers can install solar and storage systems through tailored lease agreements, enabling immediate energy savings and emissions reductions.
Initially launching in the UK and Germany, the program will be offered exclusively through Segen’s approved installer network, with plans for wider European rollout. Installers will be able to provide lease quotes alongside technical solutions, creating a streamlined experience for end users.
“This partnership addresses one of the key barriers to clean energy adoption—initial investment costs,” said Pascale Favre, Head of Technology Lifecycle Solutions at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions. “By combining our financial expertise with Segen’s technical knowledge and distribution capabilities, we’re making sustainable energy solutions accessible to more businesses while supporting their cash flow management.”
Nicolas Niedhart, Group Chief Financial Officer at Segen Global, said the partnership responds directly to installer demand.
“Our installer network has been asking for integrated financing solutions that make the transition to renewable energy more affordable for their customers,” Niedhart said. “Segen Finance transforms our installers into total solution providers, while allowing their customers to preserve capital for other strategic investments.”
The partnership was formally marked at Intersolar Europe in Munich, with BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions’ Ouafae Cohin and Segen’s Nicolas Niedhart in attendance.
Segen, founded in 2004 and based in Farnborough, UK, operates across the UK, Germany, South Africa and North America. It offers a wide range of solar panels, inverters, battery storage, EV chargers and other clean energy technologies through a network of global partners.
