Katie Emmel has spent her career transforming a startup into a global leader in secured finance technology, playing a key role in evolving Solifi into a trusted platform provider serving more than 300 customers across 30 countries. Raised on a dairy farm in Minnesota, Emmel’s values of commitment, hard work and customer focus have shaped her leadership from day one.
“To lead with consistency and trust — listening first, acting with integrity and always delivering on commitments,” is Emmel’s guiding principle.
She has steered Solifi through significant growth always focusing on customer partnerships. Two pivotal decisions — doubling down on InfoLease and advancing core solutions to the cloud — strengthened the company’s position while preserving functionality customers rely on. She played a key leadership role in integration activities following the acquisitions of William Stucky and Associates and White Clarke Group, creating a unified organization with a customer-focused experience.
Emmel’s leadership has evolved from technical execution to empowering others through trust and collaboration. She creates space for multiple perspectives and fosters a culture of shared accountability. Her advice to future leaders: listen, stay curious and build strong relationships, because reputation and trust are everything.
“Embrace change as an opportunity to innovate, not just a challenge to overcome,” she says. “And remember, leadership is not about having all the answers — it’s about inspiring and enabling others to achieve more than they thought possible.”
