Canon’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei, which translates to working together to create a better, more prosperous future, is personified by Lori Droxler. Throughout her more than 20-year career at Canon Financial Services (CFS), Droxler has been a driving force for advancing innovation and helping partnering businesses improve inventory and talent through sophisticated financing solutions.
Her career has been defined by perseverance, leadership and a commitment to continuous growth for herself, her colleagues and Canon customers. Droxler began at CFS as a Customer Remarketing Specialist before moving into a Customer Service Specialist role. While balancing full-time work and raising a family, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business management, underscoring her determination to advance personally and professionally.
Droxler has progressed through the ranks, utilizing her talent for solving complex problems, strong leadership skills and perseverance. She has advanced from Supervisor of Customer Service to her current role as Director of Servicing, where she leads the entire servicing organization for CFS. Edward Zonis, Director of Dealer and Sales Channel Support, CFS, admires Droxler’s leadership capabilities: “As Lori transitioned into management, she leveraged her deep knowledge and experience to mentor other CFS associates. Her guiding principle has always been: ‘What is best for our customers, and how can we improve their experience with Canon?’ She has played a pivotal role in enhancing customer interactions by leading numerous process improvements, including the launch of the CFS Customer Portal and CRM tools that empower customers to self-serve and access information quickly.”
Among Droxler’s proudest achievements are her contributions to strategic initiatives that improved operational efficiency and delivered significant cost savings for CFS. She also has exceptional change management skills. Droxler played a key role in helping CFS through a major core system upgrade that involved transitioning from a legacy system in place for over 30 years to a brand-new servicing platform.
As one of the project leads, Droxler developed training materials while conducting hands-on workshops, answering questions and helping associates tackle challenges. Her dedication and steady leadership helped ensure a smooth transition to the new system, preventing disruption to customers and channel partners.
Droxler is also proud to lead a diverse team of employees at CFS. As a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in the workplace, she served two years on the Women in Leadership Levels (WiLL) Board, one of the many internal Business Resource Groups organized by Canon to empower employees and connect them with mentors to help them navigate their career trajectories. Her expertise and leadership have earned invitations to speak on multiple panels for both CFS and Canon U.S.A. Known for her approachability and commitment to supporting others, Droxler is always willing to mentor colleagues at any level. Her dedication to fostering growth and inclusion is evident in her everyday interactions.
Droxler’s career from entry-level roles to a director-level position exemplifies her commitment to strong leadership and continuous learning. Her efforts have positioned CFS as a resilient and stable corporation in the industry, streamlining system upgrades and operational improvements while fostering a culture where employees are supported and encouraged to take on challenges.
“My advice to women is to always be your authentic self. Be curious and embrace every opportunity to learn something new. Do not be afraid to take on new challenges. Surround yourself with people that will provide honest feedback to help you grow.”
