If you’re a seasoned construction equipment finance professional with strong dealer, manufacturer, and end-user relationships, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Our client is a specialized global lender providing best-in-class lease and loan solutions to the construction equipment industry. They’re looking for an accomplished Business Development Manager to take ownership of growth across the Northeast.

This is not a “build a territory from scratch” role. Your existing relationships and industry knowledge will be critical to success.

What You’ll Own

  • Drive Growth
    Develop and execute the strategic growth plan for your Northeast territory.
  • Leverage Relationships
    Build on established relationships with construction equipment dealers, manufacturers, and end-users while developing new partnerships.
  • Win New Business
    Prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close profitable business at both the dealer/vendor and end-customer levels.
  • Expand Existing Programs
    Grow established vendor programs and strengthen long-term relationships with senior management and key contacts.
  • Own the Deal Process
    Manage transactions from submission through funding, including documentation, credit information, negotiation, and deal structuring.
  • Build a Winning Pipeline
    Develop new accounts, manage opportunities, and use a consultative sales approach to achieve targeted close ratios.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate brings:

  • 8+ years of construction finance experience, preferably in sales and within the Northeast.
  • An established network of construction equipment dealers, manufacturers and end-users.
  • Leasing industry experience, preferably in construction and heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of commercial credit, credit bureaus, and credit scores.
  • Understanding of the construction equipment funding process.
  • Strong knowledge of financial contracts and concepts.
  • The ability to confidently work with dealer principals, finance managers, senior management, and customers.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
