CSI Leasing Malaysia Acquires IT Asset Disposition Company

CSI Leasing Malaysia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSI Leasing, recently acquired ExportXcel, an established company in Malaysia dealing in used and refurbished IT equipment. The new subsidiary joined multiple sister ITAD companies located throughout the Americas and Europe, including EPC, and will operate under the EPC banner.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, ExportXcel will expand CSI’s in-house ITAD capabilities to Asia by adding 42 employees that process up to 15,000 assets yearly. Leong Kam Moon, founder and CEO of ExportXcel, will continue to manage the facility.

In addition to processing the Asia-Pacific region’s off-lease equipment, CSI Malaysia will now provide in-house ITAD services for medium and large enterprises throughout the region.

“Leong has built an exceptional business. In fact, ExportXcel has been handling our customers’ end-of-lease equipment for five years. During this time, we have enjoyed an outstanding relationship, and their professionalism and expertise is demonstrated with every customer interaction,” Cheng Chiin Ong, director and CEO of CSI Asia-Pacific, said. “Having ExportXcel join the CSI family was truly the perfect fit. Their ITAD experience and highly-skilled team will be a tremendous asset to CSI and its local and multinational customers.”

“Our mission has always been to provide experience in service, excellence in quality and excitement in product,” Moon said. “We are thrilled for the opportunity to join CSI, along with their premier global ITAD provider that has a model so closely aligned to ours. I have comfort knowing the business we built will only continue to grow now that we are a part of CSI.”
