Rob Munz joined Summit Funding Group as vice president of enterprise sales. In this role, Munz will be responsible for relationship development within the Midwest region. He has experience working with a wide variety of industries, including agriculture, automotive, aerospace, aviation, communications, media and entertainment, construction corporate aircraft, distribution, energy, food and beverage, healthcare, manufacturing, marine, material handling, mining, packaging, printing, private equity, retail, technology, transportation, transmission and distribution (utility), as well as waste and recycling.
Munz brings more than 10 years years of experience to Summit, with a background in the manufacturing industry. He has spent time working with industry leaders, including Key Equipment Finance, Fifth Third Equipment Finance and U.S. Bank Equipment Finance and, most recently, Honour Capital.
In addition to hiring Munz, Summit added Russ Dobson and Aimee Byrum as national business development officers.
Dobson will specialize in new customer development within the material handling and construction industries. Dobson has more than 40 years of experience in equipment financing, including time with Hertz Commercial Leasing, Chase Third Century, GE Capital, Copelco Capital, CitiCapital and U.S. Bank Equipment Finance. Most recently, he spent 14 years at U.S. Bank Equipment Finance where he served as vice president of business development, calling on manufacturers throughout the United States.
Byrum will be responsible for relationship development with manufacturers, distributors and resellers within the technology industry. Byrum brings more than 17 years of experience to Summit, with a background in the leasing and financing industry. Most of those years were spent at LEAF Commercial Capital, where she most recently served as the national director of major accounts. During her career, Byrum has been responsible for generating more than $1 billion of equipment financing, primarily within the office products industry.
