The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association hired Allyson Gale as director, federal government relations, effective July 1.
In this role, Gale will be a critical part of the ELFA federal government relations team. She will advocate on behalf of the industry on legislative and regulatory matters, manage ELFA’s political action committee, LeasePAC and coordinate the Capitol Connections program, ELFA’s fly-in program.
Previously, Gale spent nearly eight years working at the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU), now America’s Credit Unions. During that time, she served as a legislative lobbyist, membership experience and engagement strategist and most recently was the organization’s senior director of political affairs, overseeing their political programs, NAFCU/PAC and grassroots efforts. Prior to her time representing the credit union industry, she worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Ted Poe (TX-02).
“We are delighted to welcome Ally to ELFA’s Federal Government Relations team,” Leigh Lytle, president and CEO of ELFA, said. “Her wealth of knowledge and experience in advocacy, the financial services sector and Congressional legislation make her an outstanding asset to the association’s federal advocacy efforts on behalf of our members and the equipment finance industry.”
