Arnaud Achour has joined Crédit Agricole CIB Canada as managing director, head of coverage for Québec and Eastern Canada.
In this role, Achour leads the coverage effort for all clients, financial institutions and corporates and is responsible for the commercial strategy across the region. Based in Montréal, Achour reports to Ghislain Descamps, Canada country head for Crédit Agricole CIB, working alongside the Toronto-based FIG and corporate coverage teams.
Achour has more than 20 years of experience in capital markets and client coverage. He joins Crédit Agricole CIB from Société Générale in New York, where he served as managing director and senior banker responsible for the bank’s relationship with global financial sponsors and private credit funds. From 2013 to 2020, Achour led Société Générale’s U.S. high yield capital markets platform, after previously heading the capital markets and syndicate group from 2007 to 2013. Prior to his move to New York, he was based in London overseeing Société Générale’s debt capital markets origination. Achour holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School.
