Aircraft investment specialist Stratos added three senior industry professionals to its team: Kushal Patel joins as head of Asia based in Singapore; Muna Mohammad joins as vice president of risk and restructuring based in London; and Tuulia Rajamaki joins as senior advisor, legal.
Patel is an aeronautical engineer by training with 10 years of experience in aviation financing across Doric Partners and Bank of America, where he served as vice president in asset financing. Patel spent the past three years at Boston Consulting Group, most recently as a project leader, advising financial institutions on enterprise-level strategy and large-scale transformations. With a background spanning finance, engineering and leasing, Patel will cover airlines and investors in Asia (ex Japan).
Mohammad brings over 15 years of specialist experience in aviation risk. Most recently at BOCA, Castlelake and Air BP where she navigated risk management in complex situations, building on previous roles at Citibank and MIDF (Malaysia) as well as BDO (London).
Rajamaki is an aviation legal professional having worked for over 20 years with financiers, lessors and airlines. Prior to joining Stratos, Rajamaki spent 13 years with AerCap and ILFC in Singapore managing varied transactions from trading to leasing. Prior to that, Rajamaki spent eight years at Freshfields, Stephenson Harwood and Dentons, focusing on structured and asset finance. Rajamaki is admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
