Senior Credit Workout Specialist
Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX (in-office)
Our client, a privately owned specialty finance company, is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Workout Specialist to join their Collections & Servicing team.
This role combines portfolio collections management, credit underwriting, and loan restructuring expertise. The successful candidate will manage delinquent accounts, evaluate borrower and collateral risk, and structure creative workout solutions including loan modifications, rewrites, collateral additions, and payment restructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of delinquent commercial equipment finance accounts across all stages of collections.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and develop account resolution strategies.
- Underwrite and structure loan modifications, extensions, rewrites, and collateral enhancements.
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, cash flow, collateral values, and debt service capacity.
- Prepare credit memorandums and modification packages for approval.
- Partner with Loan Servicing, Legal, Credit, and Administration teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
- Serve as the primary workout and restructuring resource for the collections department.
- Communicate directly with borrowers to explain modification options and guide them through the restructuring process.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in equipment finance, commercial lending, asset-based lending, collections, loan workouts, or portfolio management.
- Strong credit underwriting and financial analysis skills.
- Experience evaluating collateral and structuring loan modifications or restructures.
- Knowledge of UCC filings, lien perfection, collateral agreements, and lending documentation.
- Familiarity with FDCPA, CFPB guidelines, and collections regulations.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
- CLFP designation is a plus.
