Fox Ridge Capital, a hybrid commercial lender, named Brian Varney chief revenue officer, adding a leader with more than 25 years of leadership in equipment finance and commercial lending. Varney brings deep expertise in sales leadership, vendor finance, business development and channel partnerships.
Varney’s leadership philosophy centers on aligning people, strategy and accountability to boost sales outcomes and drive performance. He consistently emphasizes the importance of developing talent to empower future sales leaders and fosters a culture where people can thrive, collaborate and accelerate achievement at every level. He has led multiple high-performing sales organizations and held responsibility for annual origination goals exceeding $2 billion, surpassing targets through disciplined execution.

Varney’s background includes senior leadership roles at Ascentium Capital, a division of Regions Bank, and Direct Capital, where he served in a variety of executive sales and management positions over the course of nearly three decades. He has extensive experience guiding large-scale sales teams and advancing financing solutions for equipment manufacturers, distributors, franchise organizations and businesses of all sizes across the United States.
