Willis Lease Finance, a lessor of commercial aircraft engines and global provider of aviation services, expanded its global maintenance offering through the purchase of land to build a new Willis Engine Repair Center (WERC) in Johor, Malaysia.
The facility will be the company’s third WERC, in addition to existing facilities in Coconut Creek, Florida and Bridgend, Wales. WERC facilities provide critical maintenance, repair and storage services for the company’s owned engine portfolio and third-party assets, playing an important role in Willis Lease’s integrated aviation platform. WERC Malaysia extends Willis Lease’s proven engine repair center model into Asia, building on the company’s operations in the United States and United Kingdom.

Willis Lease has partnered with South Alliance Sdn. Bhd. on the purchase of land and development of WERC Malaysia. Construction is currently anticipated to be completed in Q1/27.
