Navitas Credit Names Shields General Counsel and Wendle Director of Human Resources

Karen Shields joins Navitas with extensive experience in legal, regulatory, compliance and risk management leadership across the equipment finance industry. Kristen Wendle brings broad human resources leadership and business partner experience across financial services and other diverse industries.

Navitas Credit appointed Karen Shields as general counsel and Kristen Wendle as director of human resources, strengthening its leadership infrastructure as the company enters its next phase of growth as an independent equipment finance company.

Shields joins Navitas with extensive experience in legal, regulatory, compliance and risk management leadership across the equipment finance industry. Most recently, she served as general counsel and chief compliance officer at PEAC Solutions. In her new role, Shields will lead Navitas’ legal function and support the company’s regulatory, compliance, and risk management initiatives. She will be based in Navitas’ Mount Laurel, New Jersey office.

“I am thrilled to join Navitas as general counsel at such a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution,” Shields said. “I look forward to working alongside such a talented team in supporting the next phase of growth while strengthening the company’s legal framework and ensuring compliance with the industry’s evolving regulatory landscape. I believe our combined expertise will help us scale the business thoughtfully and sustainably.”

Wendle joins Navitas as director of human resources, bringing broad human resources leadership and business partner experience across financial services and other diverse industries. Most recently, she served as assistant vice president, HR business partner at VyStar Credit Union. At Navitas, Wendle will lead the company’s human resources function and serve as a strategic partner to employees and leadership, with a focus on employee engagement, development, and growth. She will also play an important role in strengthening Navitas’ culture and supporting the organization as it continues to grow. Wendle will be based at Navitas’ headquarters in Ponte Vedra, Florida.
