First National Bank, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B., appointed D. Brent Gore as market executive and president of its Raleigh-Durham region.
Gore will oversee commercial banking in the region, as well as the deployment of FNB’s cross-functional business model. He comes to FNB with more than 25 years of experience leading commercial and middle market banking teams at large financial services institutions, successfully driving revenue, growing loan portfolios and cultivating relationships with business leaders across varied industries in the dynamic Raleigh-Durham area.
“Brent’s depth of experience sets him apart in a region filled with exciting opportunities,” Vince Delie, chairman, president and CEO of F.N.B. and First National Bank, said. “He’s an excellent cultural fit with FNB, and we’re confident that having a leader of his stature guiding our efforts will be a great asset for growing our presence and continuing to attract high-quality talent.”
In previous regional leadership roles with JPMorgan Chase, Comerica and Wells Fargo, Gore honed expertise in profit and loss ownership and strategy, commercial and industrial lending, treasury management, capital markets and M&A advisory. A graduate of North Carolina State University, he is deeply tied to the Raleigh community, serving on boards for Wake Christian Academy and With Purpose International.
“FNB is a formidable player in its southeastern markets, including Raleigh, Durham and our surrounding communities,” Gore said. “The company offers a truly unique combination of scale, innovation and expertise, and I was drawn to the prospect of being part of a compelling growth story in the region I am proud to call home.”
