Hannah Phearsdorf has built her career in the equipment finance industry through a passion to understand the business, improve processes and always look for a better solution. Throughout her career at Blue Bridge Financial, Phearsdorf has consistently embraced new responsibilities and challenges, achieving success through persistence and hard work. These qualities have led to her current role as executive vice president, where she oversees critical functions including corporate finance, structured finance, capital markets, portfolio management and accounting. Her diverse responsibilities reflect her adaptability and strategic vision, which have been instrumental in driving the company’s growth.
“I’ve never seen anyone in my 30-plus years in the financial services industry with the work ethic, determination and desire to learn like Hannah,” Steve Dervenis, chairman and CEO of Blue Bridge Financial, says. “With her countless contributions to the company, it would be unfair to pick just one [to highlight]. All her accomplishments are evidence that clearly support her rise to an executive vice
president at Blue Bridge.”
Since joining Blue Bridge, Phearsdorf has expanded the senior lending facilities from $25 million to $185 million by bringing in new lending partners and successfully managing multiple renewals and upsizes. Her proactive approach has not only secured the financial health of these facilities, but has also positioned Blue Bridge as a trusted partner in the market. In addition to this, she has made a substantial effort to enhance the transparency and controls of Blue Bridge by developing a cash reconciliation and forecasting system and a financial corporate model. These initiatives have significantly
improved Blue Bridge’s financial reporting, accountability and operating performance. With Phearsdorf’s broad, overall knowledge of the business and industry, she has found success in effectively communicating with both current and new investors. Her expertise allows for informative conversations that instill confidence in Blue Bridge’s investor base.
One of Phearsdorf’s most noteworthy achievements was leading all aspects of Blue Bridge’s inaugural securitization. Bringing a successful transaction as a first-time issuer to market in a choppy economic environment was a testament to Phearsdorf’s broad understanding of the business and the capital markets. This transaction included 2,156 secured loans totaling $124.8 million and was executed in collaboration with Truist Securities.
Following this success, Phearsdorf was invited to speak at the Information Management Network’s and Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s Investors’ Conference in New York City, where she shared her insights and strategies on the long-term outlook for the equipment finance industry. Her participation in this event further solidified her status as an influential leader in the field.
Phearsdorf exemplifies a strong willingness and ability to absorb knowledge and advice, which has enabled her to navigate various functions within Blue Bridge. This adaptability not only enhances her own effectiveness, but also empowers her team to operate cross-functionally, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Over the past seven years, Phearsdorf has consistently challenged herself to learn and grow, evolving into a key player at Blue Bridge and continuing to drive the company forward. However, her true legacy lies in her unwavering commitment to leadership and team development. She actively works to instill the same core values that have fueled her own success in her team. Phearsdorf is dedicated to providing significant growth opportunities for her team members at Blue Bridge and mentoring them to achieve their full potential. •
