With over 30 years of experience in the office equipment industry, Jennie Fisher has made a lasting impact on GreatAmerica, the finance sector and her local community. As one of GreatAmerica’s first employees, Fisher exemplifies how women can rise from entry-level roles to top leadership positions through integrity, authenticity and hard work. Now serving as group president of office technology, she oversees both the office equipment group (OEG) and the connected technology group.
Fisher’s leadership has been instrumental in driving profitable growth and innovation at GreatAmerica. She has shaped the company’s culture, mentored team members and built strong industry relationships. Her dedication to customers and ability to foster relationships at every level have been key to GreatAmerica’s success, making her a respected leader admired for her commitment to customers, team members and the company alike.
Fisher has helped generate new jobs and economic growth. Her accomplishments include leading her division to 336% revenue growth during her tenure as senior vice president and general manager of the OEG. In that same period of time, she significantly grew the employee count, adding new career opportunities for her team members and mentoring many to become leaders themselves.
Prior to her role as senior vice president and general manager, Fisher served as vice president of sales and was part of the leadership team that navigated profitable growth through the Great Recession. She was instrumental in increasing the market perception of the company — moving it from “great customer service, but small company” to a formidable contender in the office equipment financing space. She took the lead in getting GreatAmerica more actively engaged in several “dealer groups,” where many of the more prominent office equipment prospective customers met regularly.
“Jennie is a respected leader in office technology, known for her commitment to customers and expertise in technology financing,” Jim Dotter, president and CEO of Edwards Virginia Business Systems, and long-time GreatAmerica customer, says. “She drives GreatAmerica’s customer-focused approach, fueling growth and innovation. She plays a pivotal role in developing programs that ensure GreatAmerica consistently exceeds clients’ evolving needs. Jennie’s dedication fosters trust, sets GreatAmerica apart and propels client success.”
In addition to her professional achievements, Fisher is deeply involved in philanthropic activities. She hosted the Patriot Pack’s ‘The Ride 2023,’ raising funds for veterans and other charities, and continues to support both ‘The Ride’ and the Patriot Pack. She is a strong advocate for the Consortium and its Executive Connection Summit, contributing to the planning and execution of these events.
Fisher is a role model for women in the industry, regularly participating in events that support and develop female leaders. She has been recognized as a Women Influencer by The Cannata Report and has served as a mentor through the Big Brothers, Big Sisters program. She has also been recognized with numerous industry awards, including Top 40 Most Influential People in the Industry in 2013, The Waypoint Woman of Achievement Award in 2015 and the Frank Award for Best Female Executive in 2023 by The Cannata Report. Her leadership has also been crucial in GreatAmerica being named the Best Leasing Company multiple times.
Fisher’s leadership style is characterized by her servant leadership, ability to build and maintain strong relationships and dedication to fostering a positive company culture. She consistently prioritizes the needs of her customers and team members, driving GreatAmerica’s growth and success. •
