As the current general counsel for Ansley Park Capital, Stephanie Zschokke brings more than 28 years of legal and business experience, including deep technical expertise, to her role. Her responsibilities span a broad range, from managing all legal, corporate governance, regulatory and risk matters for the organization, to executing strategic legal and business priorities. Zschokke also possesses specialized expertise and knowledge in structuring, negotiating and closing commercial lending and equipment finance transactions and provides oversight for the documentation and funding teams.
Prior to Ansley Park Capital, Zschokke assisted in the formation of Scottrade Bank Equipment Finance and Midland Equipment Finance, in collaboration with the talented teams and colleagues in those organizations. Her very first equipment finance position was as counsel with TCF Equipment Finance. Prior to her career in equipment finance, Zschokke spent time working in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and structured transactions at Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers and started her legal career at the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office.
In 2023 and 2024, Zschokke partnered with the management team of Ansley Park Capital to successfully navigate and lead their equipment finance team through a complex and arduous acquisition and transition from BciCapital, a bank-owned equipment finance company, to Ansley Park Capital. Working through this acquisition with the Ansley Park Capital team was one of the most rewarding, fulfilling, challenging and interesting professional accomplishments of Zschokke’s career.
Zschokke attributes her professional success to being surrounded by an experienced and talented team of leaders, peers and colleagues at her current company, as well as her previous organizations. Zschokke feels fortunate to have had the privilege of collaborating with incredibly experienced leaders and mentors, who have generously shared their years of deep knowledge and wisdom in their respective technical fields.
“Stephanie Zschokke is an exceptional leader — smart, hardworking and incredibly collaborative,” Eric Miller, president and CEO of Ansley Park Capital, says. “As EVP and general counsel, she’s been a critical strategic advisor, partnering with myself and our executive team during a recent M&A transaction; our newest opportunity wouldn’t be possible without her. Her expertise and dedication have been pivotal to our success. I’m thrilled to see her recognized among the industry’s best.”
In highlighting what Zschokke views as important core traits and values that are critical to success, she prioritizes providing superior client service to internal and external clients and a continuous desire to learn and explore new opportunities, combined with a strong work ethic. She values having an extremely proactive and responsive mindset with her clients and continuously working side-by-side with her colleagues on a daily basis to successfully achieve the goals of the organization and its clients.
Equally important to Zschokke is making decisions that align with the right and ethical choice. Simply stated by a leader Zschokke greatly admires, this involves always doing the right thing even when it may be the more difficult choice.
Finally, Zschokke enjoys sharing and exchanging legal, business and industry-specific knowledge with her colleagues and the next generation of equipment finance industry professionals.
“Demonstrate a strong work ethic and learn everything possible from your opportunities and by collaborating with your colleagues, and, in the end, you will be glad you did and proud of all you were able to achieve and accomplish,” Zschokke says.
Zschokke hopes that Ansley Park Capital will be around for many years to come, serving as an organization providing ongoing opportunities in the equipment finance industry. •
