Terry Randall joined Conserv Capital in May 2023, bringing with her a robust background in banking, credit management, closing and funding, as well as a range of operational functions. With more than eight years of prior experience at a CDFI, she made a seamless transition into the equipment finance sector, where she has quickly become a valuable asset to the Conserv Capital team.
Randall’s primary responsibility is leading the organization’s operations, which include processing, closing and servicing functions with an emphasis on origination and portfolio growth, as well as staff management. Her key responsibilities are supporting the president and CEO with policies and operational procedures to meet compliance requirements and facilitating and managing originations, to name a few.
Since joining Conserv Capital, Randall’s oversight in the development of processes and operational structure has been key to the organization’s success. With focus on system specifications, processing efficiencies, reconciliations and reporting, Randall led the team to implement improvements that have had an immediate impact on the organization, its vendors and customers. Randall has established policies and procedures, built out operating systems to facilitate specific reporting requirements and streamlined applications and data collections to set the foundation to facilitate futuristic growth and marketing capabilities.
Today, Randall is recognized by colleagues as the heart and soul of Conserv Capital. She has embraced every challenge and quickly established herself as the unspoken standard, from work ethic to personal relations. She has brought out the best of her staff and has helped them accomplish more than they thought possible. Though she was new to the industry when she joined the company, her impact has been generational.
“The characteristics that set Terry above in the field are the things we see every day — her compassion, empathy, dedication, loyalty, diligence, resilience and, above all, the results she has achieved,” Jeffrey Goff, president and CEO of Conserv Capital, says.
Randall’s leadership approach is to invest in and promote career development and growth and to cultivate a high-performance culture. Her goal is to spend the necessary time to help identify strengths, unlock potential, offer guidance and tools to strengthen weaknesses and position her team for success. “I have the absolute honor of being part of an amazing group of people who make an outstanding team,” Randall says. “We are aligned; we know the value and importance of our work and have a collective belief in the services and products we provide to our customers.”
“I have never said this about any employee in my 30-plus year career, but Terry Randall is irreplaceable,” a colleague of Randall’s says. “Others could fill the seat, but no one can replace the visible and invisible impact she has on us on a day-to-day basis.”
Outside of Conserv Capital, Randall is a member of the TTU Parent Association and the Tennessee Farm Bureau, supporting the Women’s Leadership Committee. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Michael, and their daughter, Hailee, who is pursuing a master’s degree at Tennessee Technological University, and visiting extended family.
Randall’s professional mission is to be a mentor and leader who contributes to individuals meeting their full potential. She aims to lead by example and to treat others as she would want to be treated. Randall underscores her mission with the words of Saint Francis of Assisi, extending the quote as advice for other professionals: “Start by doing what’s necessary, then do what’s possible and, suddenly, you’re doing the impossible.” •
