Elise Barbuck is director of operations at MMP Capital where she oversees human resources, payroll, IT and marketing. With her strong background in accounting and years spent in corporate auditing and change management, Barbuck lends support throughout the MMP organization, implementing procedures and controls and assisting in areas such as project management, compliance, reporting and coordinating with legal counsel.

A past board member of the Information Systems Audit & Control Association, Barbuck has also been an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors. In her career, she has served as change management coordinator and internal auditor for publicly-traded companies in the upstream energy industry. Barbuck also served as a startup consultant, advising ownership on business administration and growth strategy prior to joining MMP Capital. She was the fifth person to join the company and says being part of the initial team that has grown the company is one of the achievements of which she is most proud.
“Elise has a master’s degree in accounting and that’s probably, of all her skills, the one we utilize the least. She has been an integral part in the formation of our IT, HR and operations departments. She has seamlessly been able to switch hats and tackle whatever role or task we need her to take on,” Mike McCaffrey, vice president of MMP Capital, says. “It’s unfair to name just one, but a singular achievement is the customization and implementation of Salesforce at MMP. Elise, with the help of her team, created the processes that allow MMP to deliver on its core promise of speed and service to our customers and vendor partners. She has been able to streamline the entire sales cycle, from how we process applications to the speed and efficiency with which we fund them. This not only delivers a simple, straightforward process for our customers but our sales, credit and funding staff too. We might have eventually got there without Elise, but it would have been [a] much longer and painful journey.”
