Lisa Nowak,
Director, Platform Product Management,
Solifi

Lisa Nowak is changing mindsets in the equipment finance industry with creativity and a servant heart. Over the course of the last year, the industry has faced many challenges and business disruptions. That’s typically when innovation and true leadership emerges and that’s where Nowak thrives as a driving force behind the shift, not only in developing Solifi’s game-changing software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, but also in educating others on the why.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE:

“Solve business problems every day by democratizing the application of technology and making best-in-class solutions and ongoing innovation readily available to all members of the equipment finance ecosystem. And through the journey, challenge assumptions and share lessons learned to transform technology across our industry.”

Nowak’s passion for experimentation, solving problems and telling stories started when she was a young girl. Since then, she’s embraced several mantras: Imagine the possibilities. Try — and fail fast. Progress over perfection. Embrace change and do something that’s never been done before. She says that’s where the magic happens — in the moments when you step outside your comfort zone and learn bigger.

Nowak takes great pride in encouraging and celebrating the success of her colleagues. She says it’s a privilege to be part of something bigger than herself, as she and her team develop innovative go-to-market solutions that make the customer experience easier and enable ongoing value to the entire industry.

“Solifi and our customers benefit from Lisa’s relentless intellectual curiosity and drive. It is these qualities that have pushed our team and technology forward, resulting in an industry-leading SaaS platform,” Bill Noel, chief product officer at Solifi, says. “And it is this work, coupled with empathy for the business needs of customers, that will continue to transform the secured finance industry.”

Paying it forward with shared successes and failures, having the humility to ask questions and relentlessly pursuing solutions to business problems are some of the key ingredients to elevate the industry to its highest potential. Nowak believes product leaders are ultimately responsible for understanding, defining and building what is most important to the industry and its customers. She also believes people feel the most successful and happiest when they are serving others well, whether it be their teams, their company, their customers, their industry and/or the next generation of product managers. That’s the type of leadership that Nowak models.
