Barbara Griffith, president of SCL Equipment Finance, a division of Southern California Leasing, has 30 years of experience in the equipment finance industry. After working for other leasing companies, she decided to do something that was unconventional at the time in a male dominated industry and started her own leasing company. From day one, Griffith focused on relationships and cultivating alliances with lenders, customers and equipment sellers, which has empowered her 30-year career. Griffith also attributes the start of her business to two incredibly supportive and inspiring women who were her very first lenders in the business.

Griffith is known for her determination and creativity as president of SCL. She is always thinking of innovative ways to develop custom vendor programs and specialized lease structures for her customers. Whether it is a vendor webinar, podcast or speaking engagement, Griffith is enthusiastic about educating business owners and equipment sellers about equipment financing. Griffith has a loyal team that has been with her for years and she accredits the success of the company to their hard work and dedication. She is a mentor to many, including her daughter, Crystal Harrison, who also works for SCL as vice president of business development.
Griffith has been an active board member for many associations over the years in the equipment financing industry and other equipment-related industries. She has influenced women throughout her career and has paved the way for others.
