VISION FOR THE FUTURE:

“I have the utmost confidence in the steady advancement of women like myself who thrive on our professional relationships and [push] to make our associations the best they can be. It has been an honor to serve with so many strong women, whose primary goals are to not only succeed in their career but also to encourage fellow women to grow.”

Tiers began her career with Baystone nearly 30 years ago and has played an integral part in the consistent growth of the division, KS StateBank and the municipal industry as a whole. Tiers’ role as an originator of brokered transactions has been a primary vision during her tenure, as she has forged successful relationships with hundreds of colleagues and provided solid advice and solutions.

“Linda is unique in how quickly she grasps all the angles of a complicated deal. She looks at her deals in a very straightforward, common sense way. She skillfully communicates all that needs to be done with her customers even when there are a lot of moving parts. What would be difficult for most, Linda makes it look easy,” Evan Howe, director of Baystone Government Finance, a division of KS StateBank, says. “She is always responsive to her customer requests and concerns, which I know her customers appreciate. For the government finance department of our bank, Linda quietly does all the little things behind the scenes that make a great office environment. The 30 years of knowledge and wisdom that she is able to bring every day helps everyone on our team. She is a leader and very deserving of this recognition.”

Tiers has been an active member of the AACFB and the NEFA since 1999. She has held numerous sessions on municipal finance for both associations through the years to provide continuous critical education to her fellow members. She also has written several articles in publications, including NEFA Newsline.

Outside of the office, Tiers is active in her local community through charitable fundraising for those in need. She enjoys every second of her free time with her large family and numerous friends by staying active and traveling as much as possible.
