Michelle Noyes is a senior marketing services representative for Great American Insurance Group, Specialty Equipment. She has more than 20 years of experience in the leasing and finance industry. She has held various positions during her career, including claims and administration. Currently, her focus is leading marketing initiatives for Specialty Equipment, which provides a variety of specialized equipment related insurance programs to the equipment marketplace.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE:

“My advice for future industry professionals is to be present. People make the difference. Invest your time and talent in the equipment finance community. Engage with industry veterans who can share wisdom and first-hand experiences about hot button issues. Leverage your expertise through volunteering. Then, take that knowledge, share it and become a mentor for future leaders.”

Noyes attributes her career success to nurturing relationships with colleagues and industry peers and collaborating with associations. Her involvement began when she served as a member of the NEFA regional committee for many years. She promoted and hosted several interactive networking events for the association. Most recently, she volunteered her time and marketing expertise for the NEFA’s semiannual conference. Noyes is also actively involved with organizing regional networking events for the ELFA.

Specialty Equipment recognizes the importance of continuing education. Noyes promotes that corporate value by actively supporting the CLFP designation program, the preeminent designation in the equipment leasing and finance industry.

“Michelle is the talent behind the marketing efforts of Great American Insurance Group’s Specialty Equipment,” Reid Raykovich, CLFP, executive director for the CLFP Foundation, says. “At the ELFA Annual Conference, she always plans and executes sophisticated yet fun events and diligently works behind the scenes to ensure the absolute success of the event. I had the opportunity to work with her on one of our Academy for Lease & Finance Professionals (ALFP) hosted by Great American. Every aspect of the event was meticulously planned, and every person there, whether an attendee or an instructor, was thoughtfully considered.”

Fundamentally, Noyes believes networking and supporting associations is critical to the continued growth of the lease and finance equipment community. Active solicitation of new members can inspire creative ideas on how to successfully grow the lease and finance associations. Engaging younger generations will lead to fresh perspectives and a more diverse community.
