Austin Financial Services (AFS), a company in asset-based lending, added Kyle Wilson as senior business development officer. Wilson will focus on expanding AFS’ nationwide business development efforts, originating new asset-based lending opportunities and strengthening relationships with banks, private equity firms, financial advisors and other referral sources.

Throughout his career, Wilson has sourced, analyzed, structured, underwritten and funded commercial financing transactions of up to $50 million, serving small and middle-market businesses across a broad range of industries. His background combines business development expertise with hands-on credit and underwriting experience.

Most recently, Wilson served as senior vice president of business development at DML Capital Group, where he focused on healthcare-related asset-based lending and factoring solutions throughout the United States. Previously, he held senior business development and sales leadership positions at eCapital Commercial Finance, where he generated more than $115 million in new business and led the North American business development team. His earlier experience includes lending and business development roles at Hitachi Capital Canada, Bibby Financial Services and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), where he developed new markets, structured financing solutions and built relationships with borrowers and referral partners.

“Kyle brings a strong combination of business development experience, credit expertise, and a deep understanding of the financing challenges facing middle-market companies,” Stacey Lykins, president of AFS, said. “His ability to identify opportunities, structure complex transactions and build lasting relationships with borrowers and referral partners makes him an excellent addition to our team. We look forward to the role he will play in expanding our market presence and helping more businesses access the working capital they need.”

Wilson added, “AFS has built a strong reputation for providing flexible, creative financing solutions to businesses whose needs may not fit traditional lending structures. I see a tremendous opportunity to build on that foundation, expand our market presence and strengthen relationships with borrowers and referral sources. I’m excited to bring my experience in business development and structuring complex transactions to AFS and help more businesses access the financing they need to grow and succeed.”

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from Brock University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Secured Finance Network (SFNet). He is based in Florida.
